My body and mind are on two different wavelengths. My body is turning off my morning alarms without my mind knowing it. I must have shut if off this morning and then slept for another 30 minutes. D’oh!
Dietitian Business
When working in a hospital, you’re tentatively planned day can be turned upside so quickly. Only a few parts of my day were revamped. I only did diabetes appointments yesterday. I had 1 large morning class and then 3 straight afternoon one-on-one patients. My afternoon class was cancelled because there was only 1 patient for it! That doesn’t constitute as a class, does it?
By the end of the 3rd straight appointment, my brain was getting foggy and my stomach was grumbling. I really can’t go that long without eating especially on running days.
Toast always smells so delicious and is so comforting! I spread sunflower butter and preserves on the toast and went on with my charting.
Note: I am verrrry careful with eating and being around paperwork. Very careful. I’m fearful of what would happen if there were a spill!
My other eating time, my lunch break, involved 3 other dietitians and myself talking celebrities! There even was a Dennis Quaid hair color debut at one point. We have our own fun.

I check my mail in the lobby when I arrive home after work each day. Yesterday I found my car insurance bill. It seems like so much money after years of my parents paying for it. I took action and decided to scrounge up some monies from other places. I noticed that my Netflix was charging me twice a month. I called and I straightened that out (by the way their customer service is awesome) which resulted in a refund coming my way!
I also set up my work reimbursement for my race fee and noticed some mystery money in my PayPal account. All in all, I found about $200 coming my way last night. Can I do that every day?
After my treasure hunt I began on dinner. I had been trying to do arctic char for dinner for the past 2 weeks and tonight was the night!
First Le Tour though.
The vegetables were nearly overcooked because I couldn’t turn away from the cyclists going down the mountains in a blanket of fog. I literally watch The Tour with my mouth hanging open in amazement.
Aaron and I worked on the fish. By that I mean I decided how it would be cooked and then he cooked it!
Roasted sweet potatoes (chili powder, salt, red pepper flakes, onion powder), steamed and sautéed green beans with balsamic vinegar, and pan seared artic char. We dredged the fish in a flour/salt/pepper mixture before cooking and then finished it off with a squeeze of lemon. It was perfect!
Today’s plans: work (of course), make pizza for dinner, Trader Joe’s grocery list, and prep for my 10 mile run tomorrow! I need to do some sports bra hand washing. I should buy 1 more so I have 1 for each running day of the week, but I cut myself off about a month ago on buying running clothes!

I’m glad Netflix gave you a refund and you had a good customer service experience. Good luck on your 10 miler!
Thanks Allie!
