Monday morning is here! Time for some action. I need work action and running action.
Big time.
This weekend went by too fast as always. It was also a tiring weekend. My Saturday 10 miler took a lot out of me. Sun and run = tired Molly.
I managed to buy groceries hours after my run.
And that was the extent to my productiveness besides my run.
I brought dinner to make over to Aaron’s house. I brought over frozen Trader Joe’s pesto tortellini and vegetables. Aaron opened up wine while I started dinner.
What a change-up from beer! I had a small amount because I am notorious for dehydration.
Dinner was ok. The pesto tortellini was bland despite all of the add ins.
I started dozing during the Olympics (again, already). I was able to sleep through a lot besides just the swimming excitement. I slept through Aaron vacuuming and him dropping a bookmark on my face. I say it all the time, but running has me sleeping great.
Sunday was spent prepping for an afternoon get-together. A last-minute mid-afternoon meal was planned on Saturday. Luckily there was a delicious peach salsa recipe put out that I snatched up and made Sunday morning.
No prep time or time for smelling like grill, so broiling the peaches it was!
The salsa was a hit. I will be making it a little spicier next time. Heat is typically not my friend, so I take it easy initially.
And then came Aaron’s pizzas!
He made 2 margarita pizzas and 1 roasted red bell pepper, artichoke, blue cheese pizza. So, so good!
I may have been in bed early, but I still didn’t want to wake up early today. After talking with one of our friends last night who is training for a full marathon, I found motivation to make this morning count.
Have you noticed that the sun is coming up later now?
I programmed 3 miles into my Nike running app and was off at 5:30 am. I headed for the hills. I haven’t been there in nearly a month. I shied away from the hills after hurting my foot last month. I conquered them today!
Running stats 3.75 miles 35:20 9’24″
I did 2 rounds of the hills. I nearly jumped during my second hill round when I realized that I was running by people sleeping next to the road. I did not notice that the first time around-yikes!
Time to continue on with this day. On my mind: 1 test tray, 9 meal rounds, finishing up yearly work goals (that are kinda over due..), finish lesson plan 8 for weight loss class, oh and then you know see the 8 scheduled inpatients. I’ve got this!
