I’m still coughing a lot over here. If coughing, no running. Two days of rest it is!
I’ve been making a point to have yogurt while on antibiotics.
During the RD meeting I are this snack. I should have stocked up on these this weekend. I topped the yogurt with Uncle Same cereal which is packed with an oz of protein per portion. The meeting was primarily about our classes that we’ll be teaching to UIC-Rockford med students.
Other accomplishments at work yesterday includes taking a hospital floor to do inpatient. While doing inpatient I managed to do a few meal rounds. I am determined to not wait till the last days of August to do all 20 again. Or any.
It’s hard to believe but 5:00 rolled around so quickly! I used the last bit of my day to prep for today’s cardiac rehab weight loss class. The topic is carb smart. Fear not carbs!
I continued to rest at home after work. The most I did was cook dinner which was minimal work. Chickpea tacos and kale chips are pretty low maintenance.
For the tacos, I sautéed onions, diced tomatoes (removed the inside, seeds), and mashed avocado. Deconstructed guacamole if you will.
We watched Walsh-May dominate in sand vollyball while we ate. Those women are so captivating to watch!
Dessert was multiple glasses of water, cipro antibiotic, and a pain reliever. I watched Aaron finish the last glass of wine.
Must recover. All I can do now is visualizing success.
