Someone woke up late and it wasn’t me.
This is at 5:30 this morning. I’m pleased that my half is wrapping up since the sun is waking later and later.
My run went fine. It’s hard to really assess a 2 mile run. My first mile is always a warm up mile.
You know what wasn’t fine? My left outer foot. The edge of it began hurting yesterday morning. Odd. Rest days are ahead though!
Ah, last training run. It’s been a long month of early wake ups and early bed times. (Note the tired eyes and puffy wake-up face!)
No one that I know of was taking to the ER during work. I’ll take that as a successful day!
Remember when I was under a time crunch to get to work? My first 4 patients cancelled or no-showed. Really.
With the sudden “free time” I plowed through charting! I wanted to be completely caught up this week since I’m trying to leave early on Friday and I have Monday off. You know what scares me when I chart though? When I have to fax a note. It always takes 2-3 tries.
I ate fruit throughout the day. It was a good break to get away from my computer screen.
A nurse had had a baby shower at her house this weekend and brought us the leftovers. What is it about a fruit salad that tastes better than fruit on its own?
Lunch was more of vegetables than fruit. I brought another sweet potatoes with last night’s leftovers.
This was brilliant. No added butter or olive oil needed. I must keep sweet potatoes on-hand consistently for lunches.
My last 2 patients of the day showed! My last patient was a pregnant women. Before I saw her I thought to myself, “Great! Pregnant women love to be told what to eat!” Pregnant women are fun to see to check out engagement rings and hear baby names.
Clocked out (I don’t really clock in or out…)
I came home from work and read! Such a great way to wind down after a 9 hour day at work. Once I began dinner, I realized I was scrappin’ for dinner. It was a meal that was to use up food from other dinners. Smart and cheap!
Black beans and squash tacos with avocado and sautéed onions and a side of roasted broccoli. This girl ate plenty of orange today! (It seemed to me during school that this was the difficult color to eat daily. It’s up there with purple, too. What’s with not eating the colors that don’t rhyme?)
Plans for the day…cardiac rehab, RD only patients, probably some diabetes patients thrown in there, laundry (I need clean running clothes for Saturday), dinner, and running music search.
