I’m writing this post with one eye on my computer and the other is staring out the window watching a rainstorm roll through. This weather matches the feeling of my ankle-disaster!
I mentioned that my left outer foot was hurting on Tuesday and it continued to hurt yesterday. Now the pain has slightly migrated to my ankle. Please just get out of my body all together. Thanks!
The good news is that my sinus infection is 95% better. I only have a small sniffle every now and then and my coughing is improving. One step forward, two steps back (pun intended).

Patients showed up a little better yesterday than Tuesday. My great accomplishment for the day was plowing through the last bits of charts! It’s really a great feeling. The sooner I chart on someone, the better I remember what the heck we discussed (notes only go so far!).
I had the pleasure of boring 3 children who came with their grandparents. Sorry kids.
Best work snack:
For the last 2 weeks my peaches have turned on me too quickly before I could eat them.
I hobbled around work with my ankle hurting. Luckily, I didn’t have to do inpatient which requires a lot more walking. Today I won’t be as lucky.
clocked out
After work I ran errands which I typically despise. I didn’t need to go to the grocery store, so I never seemed to mind the tasks. I managed to put air in my tires (I have one pesky tire that probably that should just be replaced), pumped a full tank of gas, and vacuumed out my car. I have no idea the last time my car was vacuumed out. Long enough to be able to donate to Locks of Love-I shed worse than my childhood beagle.
Laundry came next. I also hate doing laundry in the middle of the week. I hobbled around doing that as well.
Dinner was quick and filling.
I ate the last of the lemon cornmeal pancakes topped with strawberries, 2 eggs, and the last peach. You know what I’m not confident with making? Eggs. I even say the word funny. While these eggs weren’t overcooked, I would have prefered them coming over 30 seconds early. Any egg tips for me?
Without all the Olympic games, I’ve been reading more at night. Relaxing is on my to do list for half marathon prepping. Good move, eh?
You know what else is on that to do list? Not drinking beer. It’s been a long two weeks. I don’t miss the EtOH part but I do miss the taste part!
Onward with this day of icing and Ibuprofen!
