Hi! Happy Sunday! Today is one of those picture perfect Sundays.
I am creating a to-do list so I can be productive and then call it a day once the football game starts. Aaron watches the Packers game while I watch and likely multitask with something else.
After running 11 miles yesterday, I would let out quiet moans here and there last night as I cooked and even while I just lied on the couch. I headed over to Aaron’s place with dinner ingredients, dessert, and The Stick. We quickly started on dinner. I had a one track mind of food. I was so hungry and was so happy when Aaron broke out a little chips and salsa!
I only needed about 5 chips with salsa to carry me through until dinner. We picked up this salsa at the orchard last weekend. It is a little on the too-sweet side for me.
Finally dinner was ready-
Whole grain linguine in a tomato cream sauce with tiny shrimp. I really hate when large, tailed shrimp are in a dish. You have to do a lot of awkward cutting that doesn’t allow me to enjoy the meal. There was a communal plate of roasted broccoli.
Four episodes of The Office (season 3!) later, we broke into the cupcakes.
I got these babies for free since I had a filled punch card. We split the fat Elvis and baklava cupcakes. I ended up having 3/4 of a cupcake worth. They didn’t wow me. I’m waiting on having the peanut butter cup one later today.
And then per usual, I dozed off after the first skit of SNL.
We’ve already been out to breakfast with Aaron’s family and now we both are on our own trying to get Sunday chores done. This is a major downside of being an adult. You don’t have to go to work but you work around the house.
My plans include:
- Making roasted butternut and shallot soup
- Prepping stuffed shells for dinner tomorrow night
- Mixing up 4 batches of pizza dough for the next month
- Vacuuming my apartment since I’ve been complaining about it for the past 3 weeks
- Doing research…to be announced later!
