I learned this morning that a full bladder is better than any alarm clock. Slip me a lasix at 3 am in order for me to be up for work on time (medical humor anyone?).
Yesterday was kind of a dud. It was slow at cardiac rehab, nutrition center, and diabetes center. I didn’t have a patient show up until noon. I charted in the mean time.
I snacked on peaches as well.
How much longer do we have with these babies?
After coming back from noon patient, I found a gift on my desk.
Foodservice week! Six dollars towards the cafeteria which I may use up today. I bought tons of food this weekend but feel like I don’t have much food. I hate that.
There was a 5 mile easy run on my training schedule and I jumped on it immediately. I ate the other half of my banana (from my breakfast) since I had been hungry the last 2 hours of cardiac rehab.
Great pre-run fuel. Must keep more bananas around.
It was gorgeous out there! I don’t get why more people aren’t out on the bike path taking advantage of it all. The 5 miles flew by. I ran along the river where trees are really starting to be colorful. I would tilt my head back, view the treeline, and take it all in.
(Not on the riverside but it was there when I finished my run.)
Running stats: 5 miles 44:03 8’48″
Yeah! Speed work Tuesdays are paying off.
As soon as I walked in the door, I pre-heated the oven and threw in the stuffed shells. Why can’t dinner always be this easy?
I also chopped a zucchini and sprinkled paprika on them.
This dinner is being stretched into tonight’s dinner. I’ll claim that it’s on the account of finances rather than laziness.
*Actually I am trying to reduce food money until we get to San Francisco in November. I declared avoiding dining out like the plague. Spend all dining out monies in San Fran!!
Aaron suddenly remembered that he was supposed to do a bottle share with some friends (beer nerd alert ). He left before I opened this beauty up.
I ate his square. It was so good!
Must get going. The majority of our parking lot is being used as the helicopter landing pad for the next few days, so I need to fight for a parking spot that isn’t 2 blocks away. Wish me luck!
