I’ve already been consulted from work before 7 am. Good thing all the dietitians feel comfortable texting and calling each other at all hours. We don’t mess around.
I walked into our break room to put away my lunch and hang up my coat and found this cute scene:
Our sweet secretary brought in the cute basket of apples!
And then I got busy! Pretty sure I missed one chart yesterday that I will be finding on my desk with a sticky note saying “Need RD Note 1 ” I always seem to have 1 chart slip by me on Thursdays. Yesterday I saw 16 outpatients (7 charts is average). A lot of charts or not, I hate missing a chart!
With 16 charts to go through (which may require 2-3 notes per patient), I copy and pasted my name each and every time! It saved so much time. Thank you electronic charting!
I was given a dark chocolate Kiss from a nurse after lunch.
This would have to do since I was missing sundaes! It’s foodservice week and yesterday was sundae day during my diabetes class. I told my boss that I was bringing over the class to get sundaes.
While pulling the office door open to leave, I was faced with our old intern (now RD)! We were able to catch up since we hadn’t seen each other in months. She is one intern that we miss!
I must have channeled her Boston Marathon ways because I had a great run! It was cool and a little windy. My plan was 5 mile pace (8:55) but my legs were feeling good!
I tried slowing myself down but was having trouble so I just went with it!
Running stats 5 miles 42:44 8’32″
I couldn’t outrun the lights. It’s getting so darn dark so early. I suppose that’s the tradeoff for cool weather.
A shower and clean clothes quickly followed so I could see what Aaron was cooking up over at his place.
When I was dishing up dinner, I nearly cried because I was so hungry and it looked so good.
Vegetable Indian curry and garlic naan! So good. Aaron is such a good cook!
He just goes with it. I need step by step directions to make a meal.
With a happy belly, we watched Grey’s which followed up with me trying very hard to make it till 9:30 without falling asleep.
This morning I woke up to tight hips and new coffee!
Aaron picked this up for me from his work. Locally roasted coffee beans make the best coffee!
