It’s been a long week, eh? I don’t even remember the last post topic. What wise words did I share with the Internet?
I don’t even know what’s going on in the world. Storms…cycylones…school bus kidnapping…?
The last two mornings I’ve woken up thinking that I’m asleep in the hospital waiting room. I’ve been a visitor at a hospital almost for a week rather than an employee (or an intern since I was at my internship hospital).
If you know anything about how hospitals, you know they use military time. So that does mean I was declared a visitor at 3:08 am.
I haven’t slept in my own bed since late Friday morning. And that was only for 4 hours.
Sleep has never been more precious and scarce. How tired have I been? I had a hair cut on Saturday and when she went to blow dry my hair I had to stop to ask her when she planned to cut my hair. She informed me that she’d already cut my hair.
My running shoes have been abandoned since last Thursday night.
I’ve eaten hospital food and Italian food for about 18 meals over the past week.
I was reminded the smallest acts of kindness mean the world to visitors.
Regular posts will return one day soon. For now, I am in survival mode and caring for those who need it. Thank you for being patient with me.

I had been wondering where you were, was missing your posts! Hope everything is okay, there is nothing worse than trying to sleep in a hospital. I spent 30 hours straight in one last fall when my dad died and it is tough. Hope everything is okay with your family.
I have missed your posts as well…hope all is well with your family. Take care.
